I Am Furious
Don't go to Ephemeral. There is a huge spoiler in the subject line of a fic post. I just sent a scathing e-mail to the author asking her to take it down and re-post it without the spoiler.

I am cross-posting this to my journal, to xf_book_club and if they will let me, to xfiles.

Oh no, I'm sorry. :(

People wonder how we have the willpower to stay away from spoilers, but that's never been a temptation for me. What I need is the willpower to stay out of XF communities (other than this one, obviously) so I don't accidentally spoil myself. But I'm trying to weigh my desire to remain unspoiled against the need to not miss out on the once-in-a-lifetime level of XF squeeing.

Sigh.

I just hadn't considered that people would be so clueless. I feel like such an idiot.

There's no reason for you to feel like an idiot! Hopefully you can brain-wipe yourself and forget the spoiler before you go see the film, though. :/

Send it over to xfiles and I'm sure it'll go through.

I saw this earlier this morning and I should have included it on my Big Light post too :( :( I couldn't believe the gall of that writer. THE ONLY reason she put that in the subject line was so that people would read her story. It pissed me off SO FRICKEN BAD!!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

That was my reaction as well. That she just did it to get people to read her story. Which I certainly did not.
